5G to Next G

5G and the next generations of wireless connectivity standards bring far more than faster internet speeds for mobile users. They offer increased data security, larger data volumes and reduced latency, and will usher in a new era of connectivity across devices and applications, opening possibilities for the internet of things. The DOD will be keen to take advantage of 5G capabilities in any environment, whether hostile or crowded. The development of wireless connectivity capabilities has no endpoint, so it is critical that the U.S. drive the development of the technology and international standards, thereby securing national security interests and international partnerships.
