This is a critical concern because the American military depends upon space for nearly everything it does, more than any other nation's military. Addressing this vulnerability demands new approaches for increased resiliency and reduced cost. Proliferated commercial and government constellations — made possible by reduced launch costs and technical innovations — could render critical information and communication pipelines more resilient against foreign attack, while offering new capabilities for sensing, communication and operations.
